Viewing Operator Summary Information
Using Operator Summary Tabbed Screens
For air carrier representative users, the Operator Summary screen uses specific screen areas to group data fields and controls, including (from screen top to bottom): (a) Operator/Certificate fields (displayed as header data and including Air Carrier name, Office, Certificate Number, Certificate Status, Designator, filing CFR, Domestic/International indicator, and Office Name (of FAA office)); (b) the Tab Bar; (c) the Tabbed Screen Area (the main body of the screen), and (d) the Last Updated fields (in the bottom right screen corner).
The screen may also display filing event display data, in red text, below the Operator/Certificate display fields, with information for the form filing including the system-generated Filing ID and the Filed by (person name) and Filed on (date and time) data.
Using the Operator Summary Screen Tab Bar and Tabbed Screens
The Operator Summary screen uses tabbed screens to allow large amounts of operator/filing information to be organized by subject matter and displayed on one screen. A row of screen tabs – the Tab Bar – is displayed below the screen header and above the tabbed screen area. Each tab is “attached” to a specific tabbed screen. Clicking a screen tab brings the attached screen into view, causing the area below the tab to display fields and controls for that set of data. The labels of the screen tabs include (from left to right): Summary, DBA, Principals, Air Carrier Addresses, 4507 Aircraft, and Insurance (Note: Some screen tabs may not be displayed due to CFR-specific data requirements of the operator/filing).
Tabbed Screen Area and Tabbed Screens: The tabbed screen area occupies the middle and largest area of the screen. Each tabbed screen displays data fields and controls arranged within field groups. Some tabbed screens display list grids and a row of command buttons above the grid. When first opened, the Operator Summary screen displays the Summary tabbed screen.
The Operator Summary screen uses the following tabbed screens (Note: Some screen tabs may not be displayed due to CFR-specific data requirements of the current operator/filing).
Summary tab. Displayed as the default screen when you first access the screen using the Open operator workspace button, the Summary tab allows review of operator registration data and status data as applicable for the operator filing. It provides quick access to filing type and status, economic authority, and view/add filing comments. For U.S. Air Taxi Operators, the tabbed screen includes the following four field groups (as displayed from top to bottom): (a) Operator Filing Date and Status display fields; (b) Economic Authority Status fields and Update Economic Authority command button (displayed as applicable for each operator/filing); (c) Registering Carrier field group with Registering Carrier radio buttons and Proposed date of Operations Commencement field (displayed as applicable for each operator/filing), and; (d) Types of Service field group with Service Type check boxes.
DBA tab: Displays “doing business as” company name information for the filing’s operator and includes the following fields: (a) WebOPSS DBA Names list; (b) DBA Name field, and; (c) Add button. By default, the system loads the WebOPSS DBA Name into the eAIM DBA Names list (All DBA names from the WebOPSS DBA Names list will be included in the eAIM DBA Names List).
Principals tab: Displays identifying/contact information for the FAA office and the persons serving as the operator filing’s FAA principal points of contact for inspections (Principal Operators, Avionics, and Maintenance Inspectors). The data displayed is drawn from WebOPSS and included on the screens as read-only data.
Air Carrier Addresses tab: Displays the Insured Address data fields and address information for the principals (i.e., primary company points of contact) previously identified for the operator. The data Insured, Primary, Mailing, and Agent For Service mailing addresses data is drawn from WebOPSS.
4507 Aircraft tab: Displays the Aircraft List grid listing all of the associated aircraft (which may be derived from WebOPSS data and previous eAIM filings) and includes an informative Aircraft List Key. The 4507 Aircraft tab allows the user to manage the aircraft listed for the OST Form 4507 filing. In addition to allowing users to add aircraft to the 4507 Aircraft List and include or remove aircraft from the list, the screen can be used to update the number of installed seats for a listed aircraft as well as include aircraft from those listed on an operator filing’s insurance policy (OST Form 6410 or 6411).
Insurance tab: Displays the Insurance Policy List grid listing all policies for the operator filing as captured by previous insurance certification filing submissions (i.e., OST Form 6410 or 6411, often referred to on eAIM screens as “6410/11” for brevity). The Insurance tab allows the user to manage the insurance policies listed for an operator filing as well as perform many related functions policy and insured aircraft functions.
Resizing the Operator Summary Screen
Several eAIM screens use a wider screen layout. To resize the screen, click and drag the browser’s edges.
